Working to protect the states environment and heritage.
The Water Group is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Workforce Futures to lead a small team developing and implementing actions to address skills and workforce issues in collaboration with the urban water sector and training Industry within regional NSW.
The team is part of the Town Water Risk Reduction Program which is continuing to prioritise improvements in skills training and workforce as a key pathway to reducing water sector risk. The team focuses on improving operator competency and vocational training addressing workforce challenges and improving opportunities for First Nations people in water operations.
About You
The role leads the Workforce Futures team seeking to address skills and workforce issues in the NSW local water utility sector.
The role involves significant stakeholder engagement to further develop implement monitor and assess the effectiveness of workforce initiatives over time. The role will also coordinate within the department representing skills training and workforce issues in broader policy and reform work.
The role guides the development of resources including reports training materials and sector surveys to inform future implementation challenges and track progress.
