Job Description
The INM Energy Materials Group explores electrochemical tools for desalination and ion recovery. Expanding from lithiumions and other precious elements we now seek a:
Ph.D. student (F/M/D)for research on electrochemical rare earth element separation
Desired starting date: June 1st 2025 (or sooner) salary level E13 TVL 60 contract limited to three years (with possible extension).
YOUR TASKS
- Synthesis and characterization of ionselective electrode materials.
- Electrochemical desalination experiments.
- Material characterization and performance benchmarking.
- Leading efforts related to experimental work data analysis and publications.
YOUR PROFILE
- Masters degree in chemistry materials science energy materials or a related field.
- Experience with water desalination and electrochemistry.
- Ability to work as a member of an international multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and writing skills thorough command of the English language. German language knowledge is very beneficial.
