Your Role:

The ideal candidate will lead a team of 4 peopleto accomplish bioconjugation process chemistry technology transfer and development campaigns designed to deliver robust and costeffective production processes to GMP manufacturing.

• Leverage experience in protein biochemistry and/or conjugation chemistry to onboard/develop optimize and scaleup bioconjugation process chemistry unit operations
• Effectively work with key stakeholders to technology transfer timesensitive bioconjugation production processes to GMP manufacturing
• Troubleshoot bioconjugate production process nonconformances and deliver datadriven solutions
• Responsible for daytoday management of direct reports and projects
• Exempt role and extended days and/or possible weekend shifts for special projects occur occasionally throughout the year

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry Chemistry Biology Chemical Engineering or other life science disciplinewith 3 years of industrial experience OR Masters Degree inBiochemistry Chemistry Biology Chemical Engineering or other life science disciplinewith 5 years of industrial experience OR Bachelors degree with 10 years of industrial experience
• 2 years of experience in protein or other biopolymer purification at both the bench and production scale employing state of the art chromatographic and ultrafiltration unit operations
• 2 years of experience in working with or leading multidisciplinary/matrix teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in bioconjugation process chemistry development and optimization including the use of Design of Experiments
• Experience with oligo nucleotide purification on a preparative scale
• Experience related to chemical and/or enzymatic conjugation of small molecule payloads to biopolymer scaffolds strongly preferred
• 2 years of experience in managing/supervising direct reports
• Attention to detail in planning and documentation of experimental work
• Exemplary communication skills including timely and concise written and oral communications to both external and internal project stakeholders
