Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group (AHNMG) is seeking a Critical Care APP Fellow in the beautiful and historic Macon Georgia area. AHNMG is an established multispecialty group of 250 clinicians who provide professional medical services to Atrium Health Navicent. Atrium Health Navicent is a 637bed level one trauma center. As the second largest hospital in Georgia and a nationally recognized academic medical center Atrium Health has seen phenomenal growth and expansion fostered by a providerled medical group and leadership team striving toward a common goal of excellent patient care and outcomes. Each critical care unit is between 10 and 16 beds.
The Fellow candidate would join our experienced team of physicians and advanced practice providers for a 1 year didactic and clinical fellowship program with full immersion in specific critical care competencies through realtime exposure to patient care with a goal of fostering greater critical thinking above and beyond the level received in their formal education.
In addition to scheduled simulation labs organized by the Atrium Health Center for Advanced Practice located in Charlotte NC fellows will have the opportunity to learn many critical care procedures including tube thoracostomy central venous catheter insertion arterial catheter insertion thoracentesis paracentesis lumbar puncture and hemodialysis catheter insertion.
The critical care fellowship will further the APPs knowledge of evidencebased practice basic research techniques guideline development and quality improvement initiatives. Overall it will prepare the APP to be a wellrounded provider leader and resource within the critical care team.
