Job Description

IntWorks client a small and growing company with a stellar reputation and a nationwide market is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join their team in their office in Portland Maine.

As Finance Director youll be a key member of the strategic operations team working closely with leadership to guide financial decisions that align with the companys values of quality sustainability and growth.

This senior leadership role is a critical driver of financial operations overseeing everything from accounting and budgeting to compliance business intelligence and strategic financial planning. Youll oversee the entire range of financial operations ensuring accuracy compliance and strategic insights that drive the business forward.
What Were Looking for:
  • A degree in Accounting Finance or related field combined with 8 years of handson proven successful accounting or finance experience with at least 35 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing or growthdriven forprofit environment.
  • Expert proficiency in accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to drive decisions and outcomes.
  • Experience in contract negotiation compliance and managing financial audits.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present complex financial data to nonfinancial stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and a willingness to adopt new technology.
What Youll be Doing:
Accounting & Financial Management:
  • Lead all accounting functions including budgeting cash flow management capital allocation and financial reporting.
  • Oversee monthend and yearend close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Manage accounts receivable accounts payable purchase orders and employee expense reports ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Spearhead the annual financial statement audit and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Continuously improve internal financial processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Compliance & Regulatory:
  • Manage TTB tax and other state regulatory compliance to ensure adherence to federal and state laws.
  • Oversee corporate tax filings identifying opportunities to leverage favorable tax codes.
  • Take advantage of state and federal rebate programs and maxime cost savings.
Business Intelligence & Data Management:
  • Oversee the integration and management of our accounting and production data tracking software to ensure visibility of spending across the organization.
  • Lead cost/margin analysis and create forecasting models for pricing and product mix changes.
  • Partner with IT to streamline functions automate workflows and enhance interdepartmental data flow.
CrossDepartmental Collaboration:
  • Serve as the financial expert advising department heads and senior management on financial strategies and decisionmaking.
  • Evaluate financial risks and opportunities across various business functions including procurement insurance and real estate.
  • Provide insights to leadership on key metrics financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the companys vehicle and energy strategies aligning with sustainability goals.
Leadership & Team Development:
  • Motivate and manage a dedicated team of finance professionals providing feedback mentorship and career development.
  • Demonstrate leadership during periods of growth change and challenge maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration across departments ensuring respectful communication and effective problemsolving.
