Are you an Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer looking to take on exciting design projects in a worldclass engineering environment This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised leader in ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles) trenchers and submarine rescue systems working on innovative solutions for deepwater intervention. Based onsite in Kirkbymoorside North Yorkshire youll be part of a cuttingedge team delivering highquality technically advanced products that perform in some of the harshest environments on the planet. Offering a structured 37hour workweek (MondayThursday 8:30 am 4:30 pm Friday 8:30 am 4:00 pm) with flexitime available 25 days holiday plus bank holidays private healthcare a 5 pension and life insurance 2x base salary) this role provides excellent benefits.
The successful Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Managing design projects from concept through to manufacturing handover.
- Providing design input for cuttingedge subsea technology.
- Developing new product ideas and system improvements.
- Producing engineering designs specifications and documentation to ISO 9001 standards.
- Supporting offsite engineering for new products and assisting with customer training.
- Providing technical support to production logistics and integration teams.
- Assisting sales and marketing with technical proposals and quotations.
- Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations while working to project budgets and timescales.
The successful Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer will have:
- Degreequalified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years experience in an engineering design environment.
- Strong knowledge of electric motor systems power distribution variable speed drives industrial sensors and PCB design.
- Experience with communication protocols (RS232 RS485 SPI IC Ethernet) and video distribution technologies.
- Proficiency in PCB design using Altium or equivalent software.
- Technical drawing competence problemsolving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients internal teams and third parties.
- Desirable: Experience in ROV system design offshore engineering and motor control electronics
