Senior 2D VFX Artist - Stumble Guys

Scopely is looking for a Senior VFX Artist to expand our Stumble Guys team in Dundee Scotland or Barcelona Spain on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do

• Create sketches and ideations quickly for communicating concepts
• Create and animate highquality 2D game assets and VFX
• Consistently deliver assets in a timely manner to meet production deadlines
• Collaborate with other artists and programmers collectively and effectively
• Be able to reasonably control the timing of special effects animation and design and produce special effects in conjunction with character movements
• Write special effects technology & specification documents related to the production process and content and check online game effects
• Optimize the special effect resources related to the unity engine
• Enforce optimal performance and efficiency of the games final visual assets
• Work with animators and concept artists to visually develop the look and feel of the game VFX

What Were Looking For

• Degree in Design Fine Arts or equivalent work experience
• 45 years of relevant experience with a portfolio of industrystandard artwork working in realtime VFX
• Experience in live game projects and a strong understanding of art pipelines dependencies and project scope
• Proficient in Maya Substance Unity Photoshop and 2D art (concepting sprite sheet creation)
• Skilled in Unity for special effects production with shader knowledge and ability to create textures/renderings
• Strong special effects design focusing on sensory impact character movement and innovation
• Creative with a keen sense of color form and imagination
• Passionate about game development with strong communication teamwork and learning abilities
• Responsible with a supportive positive work ethic and good language skills
• Capable of producing gameready visuals that meet technical requirements for devices
