Job Description
Ledcor is hiring experienced CWB Structural Welders to join our team for the construction of the USG Wheatland Wallboard Plant in Carseland Alberta. This project involves assembling and installing a wallboard production line including product stands reels conveyors a natural gas drying kiln platforms stairs/ladders and stacking/loadout equipment. Additionally the construction scope includes the installation of ducting for air exchange systems heat exchangers and recirculation fans along the drying kiln.

Work Conditions:
- Schedule: 5 days on 2 days off 10.5hour shifts)
- Project End Date: November 2025
- Location: Carseland Alberta (parking available onsite)
- Travel Allowance: Provided for those who qualify (proof of residency required)
- LOA & Daily Travel Allowance: Available for eligible employees
- Positions Available: Employee positions only at this time No DSP
- Work Environment: Outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Essential Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to ensure accurate layouts
- Perform SMAW & GMAW on structural steel must have tickets
- Assist in preparing and assembling columns beams and parts
- Operate welding equipment to fabricate and customize components
- Conduct general welding preparation tasks such as grinding buffing and weld setup
- Work efficiently with minimal supervision in a teamoriented environment
Qualifications:
- Certified Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice with industrial experience
- Valid CWB SMAW All Positions Certificate
- Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs. bend kneel crouch and climb stairs regularly)
- Ability to pass preaccess drug and alcohol testing
- Valid Drivers License & reliable transportation (due to project location)
- Additional certifications are an asset:
- ESC Fall Protection
- ESC Elevated Work Platform
- Basic Rigging
