Job Description

- Report to and communicate directly with Aquatics Director
- Conduct classes in a fun and gentle environment following current teaching methods policies and safety and emergency procedures as detailed in the British Swim School training manual and as directed by the Aquatics Director
- Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by Aquatics Director
- Work a varied but fixed schedule that may include holidays and weekends as required by business needs and as requested by management
- Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 5 consecutive hours
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Director/Owner
- Enthusiastic assertive personality with strong relationship and customer service skills
- Effectively communicate with children customers and employees
- Disciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies teaching methods and procedures of British Swim School
- Ability to demonstrate and teach swim strokes appropriately
- Lifeguard CPR and First Aid (current preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
- Successful completion of British Swim School Swim Instructor internal training

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities most of our students are preschool and elementaryaged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. Its helpful if you have experience with children or in a childfocused job but its not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team even if youre not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the Survival of the Littlest.
