Senior Delivery Consultant - Security AWS Professional Services South Africa

At Amazon Web Services (AWS) were hiring highly technical cloud computing architects to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity while also collaborating with our customers and partners on key engagements. Our consultants will deliver proofofconcept projects topical workshops and lead implementation projects. These professional services engagements will focus on key customer solutions such as web applications enterprise applications HPC batch processing and big data archiving and disaster recovery education and government.

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

Key job responsibilities
As an experienced technology professional you will be responsible for:
1. Designing and implementing complex scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
2. Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
3. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
4. Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies 5. Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring training and creating reusable artifacts

7 years of technical specialist design and architecture experience
5 years of database (eg. SQL NoSQL Hadoop Spark Kafka Kinesis) experience
Experience in consulting design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
External or internal customer facing complex and large scale project management experience

Strong scripting skills i.e. PowerShell Python Javascript Bash Ruby Perl etc. as well with Chef Puppet Salt or Ansible in production environments at scale
Technical expertise (design and/or implementation) in Cloud Computing technologies
Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions such as WAF IPS AntiDDOS and SIEM
Experience building enterprise security strategy for cloud adoption or driving the programs evolution to meet new requirements
Understanding implications of meeting industry standards such as PCI DSS ISO 27001 HIPAA and NIST/DoD frameworks.
