About the team and the role: eBay Motors is a multibillion dollar global portfolio comprising the Parts & Accessories (P&A) Business & Industrial Vehicles and WHI (a B2B Parts & Accessories marketplace in US) businesses. These categories are not only among the largest on eBay and core to eBays strategic future but are actively innovating in the market and at eBay.
We are looking to hire a Senior Manager/Manager of Inventory Strategy and Operations for the US P&A business located in Salt Lake City Utah. This role will lead the inventory strategy and gotomarket operations in partnership with category management account management business development and analytics teams.
The role demands a dual mentality: both that of a strategic leaderwho has a deep understanding of the dynamics of twosided marketplaces operates in ambiguity is hypothesisdriven and possesses strong data intuitionas well as someone who can move quickly and decisively as an embedded operator not afraid to get their hands dirty.
We are hiring two roles for this team: (a) a Senior Manager to lead inventory optimization and (b) a Manager to drive growth in P&As tires wheels motorcycle parts and ATV/UTV parts businesses.
What you will accomplish:
Build insights reporting tools work plans and alignment to improve and grow eBays inventory position
Collaborate with business development and category managers to onboard new sellers & brands and optimize inventory position
Build data and insights reporting to describe inventory success at all organizational levels
Partner with coupon operations to improve incentive economics scale participating sellers and drive higher operational efficiency
What you will bring:
5 years of related experience including 2 years in an operating role at a major corporation
Industry experience in consumer goods retail ecommerce or consumer tech
Strong ability to synthesize and visualize data and strategic insights and business cases
SQL experience is a plus but not
Interest and/or experience in Motors a plus but not
BA/BS MBA or similar graduate degree preferred
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$84800 $146900Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
