Join our IT Security Engineering team at MMC Tech where we provide cuttingedge IT infrastructure and operational services to our family of companies. We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer who is passionate about enhancing our security posture and driving innovative solutions.
Senior Security Engineer
We will count on you to:
Utilize expert knowledge of microsegmentation techniques particularly Illumio to enhance our security framework.
Develop and implement firewall policies for various network protocols (TCP UDP ICMP) and ensure robust security measures are in place.
Research select and deploy information security solutions that align with executive strategies while maintaining transparency for end users.
Provide tier 3 engineering support for security solutions leading troubleshooting efforts and collaborating with vendors to resolve complex issues.
Document processes and develop automated solutions to reduce risk and improve team performance.
What you need to have:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical security roles with 10 years preferred in a large corporate enterprise environment (Financial Services preferred).
Proven experience with security technologies such as cloudbased proxies zerotrust architecture microsegmentation and VPNs.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISSP) and a strong foundation in security engineering and architecture disciplines.
Scripting experience in modern languages (Python PowerShell etc. for automation tasks.
What makes you stand out:
A college/university degree or equivalent experience in information security and networking.
Knowledge of common security controls on Windows and Unixbased operating systems along with server administration and identity management experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership.
A selfstarter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse global IT environment.
