Description:

Join our IT Security Engineering team at MMC Tech where we provide cuttingedge IT infrastructure and operational services to our family of companies. We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer who is passionate about enhancing our security posture and driving innovative solutions.

Senior Security Engineer

We will count on you to:

  • Utilize expert knowledge of microsegmentation techniques particularly Illumio to enhance our security framework.

  • Develop and implement firewall policies for various network protocols (TCP UDP ICMP) and ensure robust security measures are in place.

  • Research select and deploy information security solutions that align with executive strategies while maintaining transparency for end users.

  • Provide tier 3 engineering support for security solutions leading troubleshooting efforts and collaborating with vendors to resolve complex issues.

  • Document processes and develop automated solutions to reduce risk and improve team performance.

What you need to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical security roles with 10 years preferred in a large corporate enterprise environment (Financial Services preferred).

  • Proven experience with security technologies such as cloudbased proxies zerotrust architecture microsegmentation and VPNs.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISSP) and a strong foundation in security engineering and architecture disciplines.

  • Scripting experience in modern languages (Python PowerShell etc. for automation tasks.

  • A college/university degree or equivalent experience in information security and networking.

  • Knowledge of common security controls on Windows and Unixbased operating systems along with server administration and identity management experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership.

  • A selfstarter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse global IT environment.
