Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team that provides direct care to behavioral health patients working under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in person or telephonic. The primary focus is direct patient care as directed and delegated by the RN Lead PCT Operation Supervisor Operations Administrator or Program Manager. The PCT is also responsible for the safety of the unit they are assigned to including identifying environmental and patient specific safety concerns and elevating those concerns to the RN RN Manager Operations Supervisor or designee as needed.

Skills/Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED and either: * 18 credit hours of posthigh school education in a field related to behavioral health and two years of fulltime behavioral health work experience; or
• Four years of fulltime behavioral health work experience or
• Has an associates degree and at least two years of fulltime behavioral health work experience; or
• Has a bachelors degree in a field other than behavioral health and at least one year of fulltime behavioral health work experience; or
• Has a masters degree or bachelors degree in a field related to behavioral health; or
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
