About the Role
We are hiring for a Licensing Manager! In this role you will be working closely with the Director Corporate Sales to sell Springer Natures eJournal and eBook products and suite of databases and data solutions to libraries and research organisations within the Corporate Health and Hospitals market. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with our valued clients. Your primary objective will be to ensure customer satisfaction drive retention and identify opportunities for upselling and cross selling Springer Natures products and services.
Role Responsibilities
Key Account Management of assigned accounts within territory responsible for the full sales cycle.
Ensure timely renewals of existing customer portfolios.
Drive sales growth by expanding portfolio of customers and products in Health & Hospital markets in close relation to Director of Corporate Sales.
Build trusted advisor relationships with accounts ensuring great customer satisfaction.
Demonstrate competence and indepth knowledge of Springer Nature products and platforms.
Serve as an industry expert communicate relevant industry trends and best practices to customers that ultimately creates demand for Springer Nature products.
Establish and build strong working relationships with internal departments across Springer Natures global organisation including Customer Service Marketing Product Management Sales Operations Platform Development and Editorial.
Maintain awareness of current global technology and industry trends as well as competitive and market intelligence.
Conduct face to face / virtual meetings with accounts and prepare accurate sales proposals unique to customer needs.
Fully utilise our CRM system to track sales opportunities maintain a healthy pipeline and produce call reports.

Experience Skills and Qualifications
Essential
Demonstrable sales experience managing a territory.
Experience with solution based consultative selling.
Ability to drive new business and protect existing revenue.
Demonstrable client relationship management and customer service skills.
Experience working on complex license negotiations and developing proposals.
Selfmotivated and proactive
Willingness to travel for the position for customer meetings company events conferences tradeshows as
Excellent presentation skills ability to communicate and persuade peers internal senior stakeholders and clients.
Detail oriented
Strong communication (written and oral organisation and time management skills.
Proficiency with databases MS Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
Fluency in English.
Desirable
Sales experience in scientific technical research medical or publishing industries.
Experience working with UK public sector organisations and their procurement processes is highly desirable.
Knowledge of journal eBook and other electronic information product licensing.
Familiarity with Generative AI and LLM systems Text and Data Mining concepts and data solutions targeting scientific research.
Fluency in a second language
