Become part of a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining the exceptional facilities of the University of Dayton. Join us as a Lead Maintenance Technician Troubleshoot and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our worldclass campus.
Performs semi skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems. Responds to emergency situations as necessary. Must possess a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license or acquire within 9 months. Creates the work schedule for all 3 shift Troubleshooters.
*High school diploma/GED
*General knowledge/skills of the following: minor HVAC minor electrical minor plumbing minor carpentry minor repair of doors/windows including hardware painting including minor wall repair general building maintenance mechanical aptitude responding to various alarms extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems (fire elevator entrapment sprinkler leaks etc. Monitor Metasys HVAC control systems
*Valid drivers license and be insurable by the University which includes maintaining a low risk driving record
*Must possess maturity in judgment have demonstrated professionalism creativity and ability to get along with widely diverse personalities
*Basic computer skills
*Must have CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license or acquire within 60 days in order to perform basic maintenance on the KU fountain IC Chapel font and the Rec Plex pool system
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license
Refrigerant recovery certification
Trades related certifications/training (documentation required)
Minimum of 5 years experience performing work as described herein
