About the Program
The Nauiyu and Milikapiti Family Safe Houses offer safe accommodation for victims of domestic and family violence (DFV) addressing immediate needs and reducing harm. Support to victim survivors including their children is provided through risk assessment safety planning referrals advocacy and case management. Additionally wellbeing services are offered to promote longterm safety recovery and emotional and physical health whilst reducing isolation and addressing trauma.
About the role
The DFSV Safe House Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the two Safe Houses ensuring all services provided are culturally appropriate and trauma informed and that local staff are skilled and confident in supporting participants and the services are responsive to community needs.
