KBR is seeking a SIGINT Ground Systems Expert to execute operations related working with developers on the initiation rehearsals and planning as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) efforts of space systems on behalf of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly VA that delivers missioncritical capabilities directly supporting intelligencegathering missions from overhead systems. We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel guiding acquisition and of nextgeneration SIGINT systems needs for the next 1020 years. These systems deliver collected data distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.
The SIGINT Ground Systems Expert serves as a technical advisor to support the Government with Mission planning and initiation of SIGINT payloads and systems. The SIGINT leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decisionmakers. This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT COMINT FISINT and ELINT.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award
Specific responsibilities may include:
Serve as the lead on ground system command and control hardware requirements development design analysis and production methodologies for SIGINT
Provide expert technical recommendations and engineering advice on the development and integration of new and modified capabilities in the SIGINT domain with a specific emphasis on cross mission cross discipline integration
Provide Government acquisition support including but not limited to Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) ECP Technical Evaluations core acquisition processes and documentation (SOW RFP WBS etc.
Define future architecture enhancements and their associated features and capabilities
Provide technical and programmatic inputs to Government program office cost estimates
Provide experienced counsel to the Government staff through all phases of acquisition including but not limited to generation and review of system and subsystem requirements development processes integration verification validation and testing (IVV&T)
Aid in working with Mission Operations teams to enable transition of new capabilities into mainstream operations
Coordinate with internal and external offices Directorates and agencies of the US Government to identify characterize and resolve issues and risks throughout the acquisition lifecycle
Minimum qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelors degree STEM (Masters degree preferred)
10 years of experience
Strong engineering skills in SIGNALS and RF systems for overhead space systems and supporting ground architectures
Familiarity with current SIGINT and COMM architectures
Familiarity with developers offerings to satisfy SIGINT needs
Experience in the design & integration of ground station digital hardware and knowledgeable of ground station activities and ground architecture is required
Track ground system development issues and recommend common interfaces
Familiarity with current SIGINT and COMM architectures
Familiarity with IC acquisition policies and procedures
