Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Division of Community Medicine is seeking a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) Instructor for a .80 FTE benefited position with its CU Medicine OBGYN Highlands Ranch 5280 practice. This is an ambulatory position that will provide clinical care in obstetrics and gynecology. This position includes primarily clinical duties but may have some responsibilities for teaching medical students and residents in the future.

This description is a summary only and describes the general level of work being performed it is not intended to be allinclusive. This positions duties may change occasionally and/or based on business need. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inperson and telehealth care in the outpatient setting.
  • Utilize limited obstetric ultrasound skills in the outpatient setting.
  • Perform obstetric exams with identification of problems complicating pregnancy
  • Attend monthly practice meetings
  • Participate in practice development promotion and community outreach.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Location:

Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch Co.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Current Colorado RN APN and RxN licensures in good standing
  • Meets and maintains the requirements of the Nursing Credential Review Board for the Advanced Practice Nurse

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of clinical experience in a WHNP Setting
  • Prior ultrasound experience TVUS
  • LARC experience

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be willing and able to provide fullscope contraceptive services.
  • Must be willing and able to complete CAQH and all credentialing requirements before the date of hire.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain current BLS/CPR certification by date of hire.
  • Must be willing and able to actively participate in health plan contracts.
  • Must be willing and able to remain credentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials stay current.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a normal patient care environment with some exposure to biological hazards and infectious diseases.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a current DEA license within 18 months of hire.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional independent judgment to monitor and respond to changes in a clients condition
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and other members of the health care team
  • Skilled in the use of the electronic medical health record
  • Excellent knowledge of and ability to perform clinical teaching
  • Ability to effectively develop and promote practice
  • Strong collaborative nature
  • Willingness and ability to actively participate in health plan contracts
  • Ability to remain credentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials stay current

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range or hiring range for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$84148.00 to $94265.60 annually at Instructor of Clinical Practice/ WHNP at .80 FTE

The above salary range or hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is nonexempt.
