Job Description

Overview

Presbyterian is seeking an experienced Critical Carenurse to join the Cath Lab Pre Op and Recovery Team.

The CVL Recovery Room Nurse cares for patients who are recovering from anesthesia after surgery. They monitor postoperation vital signs assess levels of consciousness and carefully observe patients for any side effects from anesthesia.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for cardiac catheterization procedures and providing postprocedure care in our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
BLS PALS & ACLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures including preprocedure assessments and education.
  • Monitor patients vital signs and condition before and after procedures.
  • Provide postprocedure care including pain management monitoring for complications and patient education.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
