As a Senior Modeling Simulation & Analysis Engineer you will participate in multidisciplinary work across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC) Signal Processing and missileandsensorlevel Performance Simulations. Our Performance Simulation teams provide develop and maintain high fidelity performance simulations evaluate system performance support new business initiatives and develop & execute technology roadmaps.

This is an Onsite role in Tucson Arizona

What You will Do :

  • You will create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design performance assessment and flight test support
  • You will be responsible for the development and implementation of modeling solutions conduct trade studies and evaluation of system and subsystem performance
  • You will work in a team environment receiving inputs from the team supervisors and providing guidance and/or direction to other team members
  • You will collaborate with Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC) Signal Processing and other department personnel to perform simulation activities
  • You will work on diverse projects determine and develop approaches and solutions and provide development guidance throughout the product lifecycle from initial concept to fielded product
  • You will provide technical expertise for the simulation products of a specific program and assist senior Modeling Engineers in the preparation of detailed plans and may interact with government counterparts as an authority on simulation products

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering Science Physics Mathematics or a related STEM degree and five 5 years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas:
  • Experience programming in C C or other high order language and experience using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets
  • Experience developing or simulating physical systems
  • Academic or work experience in modeling simulation statistics or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering Science Mathematics or related STEM degree
  • Leadership experience managing others using applied system engineering principals experience working on a team and by yourself interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefings
  • Experience developing signal processing / GNC algorithms or models for missile applications
  • Experience with Control Hardware Design and Test hardware/software integration modeling physics and physical systems as related to flight dynamics
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations and using Software Configuration Management tools
  • Course work or experience in some of the following fields: radar signal & image processing radar and/or EO/IR environment models digital communications probability and statistics linear algebra estimation theory optimal control system architecture inertial navigation guidance theory
  • Current Department of Defense security clearance

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual shortterm and/or longterm incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collectivebargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
