Our Construction Equipment Group is currently seeking a fulltime Warehouse Specialist for our Jacksonville FLbranch. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of but are not limited to:
- Support the parts sales team
- Pull package and ship parts
- Ensure all paperwork related to deliveries are complete and correct
- Pick up items from vendors or transfer items between Alta facilities
- Check in unpack and put away parts
- Pick package and process parts for deliveries via shipping vendors
- Check order accuracy before each delivery
- Maintain department order and cleanliness
- Work in a nonairconditioned warehouse
- Assist in physical inventory counts
- Incorporate Altas Guiding Principles into daily activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Consistent regular and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred
- High school diploma/GED
- High level of accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to interface with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Computer programs shipping software such as UPS Worldwide DHL and FedEx
- Language Skills Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills Basic: Ability to add and subtract twodigit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance.
- Reasoning Ability Basic: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands; Frequently will stand walk sit reach with hands and arms talk/hear; Occasionally will climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
- Vision: To see both close and at a distance depth perception ability to adjust focus and see color
- Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts outdoor weather conditions.
