Job Summary

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pathologist Assistant for a Laboratory assignment Pathologist Assistant is a highly skilled healthcare professional who plays a crucial role in the pathology laboratory. They work under the supervision of a pathologist assisting in the preparation and examination of various biological specimens. This role requires an indepth knowledge of human anatomy pathology and laboratory procedures. Pathologist Assistants are essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of pathological diagnoses which are fundamental for the treatment and management of diseases.

Responsibilities

• Performing supportive pathological tasks under the direction of a pathologist.
• Collecting samples and processing laboratory specimens.
• Conducting research and preparing reports to describe findings.
• Examining and reporting information about surgical specimens.
• Managing inventory procedures personnel and training.
• Preparing tissue specimens for examination and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Correlating findings with patient clinical history and radioimaging.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 year of experience (Required)
• Firsttime Travelers: Yes
• Certifications: need to be an ASCP registered PA.
• Charting: Cerner
• OnCall: No
• Weekend Requirement: No
• COVID & FLU:
• Locals allowed: No requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location zip code 98101
• RTO Restrictions: must be listed at time of submittal
