Sheet Metal worker

Job Role

Our client is a wellestablished and growing company in Chatteris specializing in sheetmetal work. They are currently seeking an experienced Sheetmetal worker to join their established engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly company who are rapidly growing offering a varied role where you will be given great future opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cutting metal to size.
  • Drilling and tapping with sub assembly work
  • Work from simple manufacture drawings
  • Assist with the folding of flashings on a press brake machine.
  • Cut jobs ready for folding using guillotine.
  • To assist in the fabrication of insulated gutters.

Person Specification

  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Must have proven previous working experience as a Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator
  • Excellent timekeeping attendance reliability and commitment
  • Strong Team Player and able to work on own initiative
  • Adhere to company health and safety policies
  • Good communication skills

Hours of Work and Pay

  • 8:00 am 4:30 pm Monday to Friday
  • 12.50/hr
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Regular overtime available
  • Quarterly bonus
