Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
As a Senior Hardware Engineer you will be a part of the team working on the development of advanced Customer Terminal products. You will own or contribute to the following:
Design highspeed digital and/or RF circuitry in collaboration with various teams Design and optimization of different blocks of electronics subsystems Schematic capture and lead PCB layout Design DC/DC power supply and Point of Load Support flowdown requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures Board bringup and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems Support design of automated test systems test fixtures and factory test Support the transition of the designs to mass production
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering or equivalent experience 7 years of experience in highspeed digital design and/or RF designs Experience in signal and power integrity design and analysis Experience with mixed signal PCB layout designs Experience in using schematic capture tool and PCB layout viewer Experience with board bring up and debugging in lab environment Experience using lab equipment including soldering irons handtools oscilloscopes logic analyzers and spectrum analyzers
Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering Familiarity with analog electronics fundamentals (transistors opamps filters etc) Familiarity with DC power supply designs Familiarity with Hyperlynx Signal Integrity simulation tool Familiarity with EMI/EMC design mitigation Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools Previous work experience in a programming languages Proficiency in developing lab test programs for instrument control
