Position Number:
DESCRIPTION: This is structure and craft work involving the operation of a highpressure steam generating plant; the maintenance and repair of boilers water heating sewage and electrical systems; the installation and maintenance of pumps; and the repair of turbines at a department or institution. Work may include functioning as the head of heating plant installation and maintenance in a moderate size department or institution or as assistant to the chief engineer in a larger department or institution. Some positions are assigned to small facilities on the basis of independent responsibility for all plant maintenance work including supervision over skilled tradesmen. Work is performed under limited supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Four 4 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of steam generating plants and maintenance and repair of water heating and electrical systems in a large commercial or public plant.
