Job Description

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW

The Senior Lead Business Process Finances mission is to drive successfully the implementation strategies for the financial modules. Responsible for promoting process excellence with a culture focused on process improvement solutions the individual will work closely with Corporate and Regions to support and coordinate internal and external teams. The individual will focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness internal controls customer service and EBITDA.

Align Project

  • Part of the Align Project the individual plays a key role in:

    • Lead the overall financial process: accounting chart of accounts inventory bank taxes cash application roll out & reporting and internal controls

    • Assess current financial policies and procedures (Air Liquide Canada Airgas & Business Support Center)

    • Enforce standardization and industrialization through the Group FiCoPro Core Model

    • Identify and document business process and system gaps

    • Ensure that workflows incorporate key financial and procurement controls as identified in policies and procedures

    • Determine how cash balance and other balance sheet items should be accounted for into the new system

  • Assist the users of the Division and the Region in acceptance testing for the deployment phase

  • Work with the Airgas Corporate and project team to:

    • Represent the Canadian Division

    • Be part of the Prep Project in preparation to the conversion to the new ERP

    • Assist in data preparation to convert in the new ERP

    • Manage the transition to the new ERP (hypercare)

Training

  • Develop and implement SAP training and Standard Operating Procedure.

  • Train coach and mentor select key power users

  • Support the Division trainers and the HR organization in the development of training programs and materials to enhance the customer service skills of employees.

Data & reporting

  • Analyze data to identify pain points and areas of improvement. Work with the Data Quality and Process Improvement Expert to organize data cleanup with Corporate and Region

  • Working with key finance and procurement leads to identify all types of reporting that will be needed from the new system.

Are you a MATCH

  • A bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field experience is typically required (Minimum 10 years)

  • Technical Abilities: Demonstrate excellent indepth and handson knowledge of accounting software and processes. Preferably with an understanding of the complexities of multicurrency multisite and multiorganizational implementations. Masters concepts tools and methods related to his/her job meets or exceeds professional requirements of his/her field of work keeps abreast of progress in his/her field.
