Onshore Civils Package Manager

Leap29 is partnering with one of Europes largest renewable energy independent power producers leading the way in developing floating offshore wind farms with a primary focus in Italy.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Onshore Civil Package Manager to oversee the civil engineering aspects of floating offshore wind farm projects in Italy. The role covers PreCfD preFEED and FEED stages ensuring all onshore civil engineering activities align with the projects technical budgetary and scheduling objectives.

My client have offices in Milan and Rome supported by a flexible working policy. Team members typically work from the office 12 days per week allowing for a manageable balance even for those living outside these cities. Note that we cannot offer fully remote contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead onshore civil engineering packages ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical structural marine and environmental specialists.
  • Manage onshoreoffshore interface at landfall.

Technical Oversight

  • Support Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approval and ensure compliance with EIA requirements.
  • Develop and manage onshore civil engineering design packages during preCfD preFEED and FEED stages.
  • Oversee onshore site investigations geotechnical studies and ensure designs meet relevant standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary onshore civil scope interface between the global project team and local/internal stakeholders including contractors and regulatory bodies.
  • Present project updates and technical details effectively to stakeholders.

Planning and Risk Management

  • Develop detailed work plans schedules and coordinate with procurement teams to align construction timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports specifications and procurement documentation.
  • Oversee contractors to ensure scope budget and schedule adherence providing clarifications as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in civil/onshore construction engineering for large infrastructure projects with 5 years in offshore/onshore wind projects.
  • Proven expertise in managing civil engineering packages during preFEED and FEED stages.
  • Experience with floating offshore wind projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership communication and project management skills.
  • Proficient in civil engineering design software and project management tools.
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of construction law and largescale investment processes in Italy.
  • Teamoriented with strong interpersonal and cooperation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the full value chain.
