Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a POTENTIAL opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Atlanta GA.
Position Details:
Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
- Onsite care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries
- Inpatient and Outpatient setting
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver highquality psychiatric care to veterans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs.
Outpatient and Inpatient setting
6 to 6.5 direct patient care hours per day or 12 patients for one halfhour each; or any combination of onehour and onehalf hour appointment per day
- Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Atlanta VA Healthcare System Outpatient Clinics.
- Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes but is not limited to conducting diagnostic evaluations psychiatric consultation medication management and individual psychotherapy.
- The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness catastrophic medical conditions dementia and other highrisk diagnoses
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required.
Valid medical license in any U.S. state.
Current and unrestricted DEA license.
BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross
