We are looking for Machine Operators to join our team in Milton ON. This position offers a continental rotating shift schedule. 12 hour shifts rotate from day to night weekly.

You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.

• 12 hour shifts are (days and nights) 8:00 8:00

Your future team:

You will become part of the Operations team on the production line reporting to the Production Supervisor. Each team has up to 9 team members who work together to produce high quality stone wool products.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and ability to work in a safe manner
• Prior experience in machine setup and computers
• Good understanding of how equipment operates to clear equipment safely
• Forklift experience/certification

What you will be doing:

• Maintain a clean safe and efficient workplace
• Report quantity of deficiencies and the cause
• Separate waste
• Report all irregularities related to the work of subordinate devices
• Partner with Maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment and safe removal of failures and/or machine problems
• Inform supervisor and relevant shifts of any problems or tasks in need of attention
• Plan efficient product changes
• Communicate unusual conditions equipment issues or reasons for change of production volume to cross shift operator
• Complete shutdown tasks and procedures

Work Environment & Conditions:

• Fastpaced high volume production facility
• Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 hours per day
• Ability to lift 60 lbs alone and 120 lbs with another person
• Ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height
• Ability to wear protective safety equipment for several hours daily
