Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide professional friendly Spa experience for guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide a clean spa and salon at the start of each shift.
  • Provide professional and friendly haircuts blowouts updos manicures and pedicures for guests utilizing our pedicure chairs and manicure stations. Must follow procedures outlined in the Spa Manual.
  • Be knowledgeable of retail products and attempt to sell and upsell products to guests.
  • Report any supply shortages to the Spa Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Restock product supplies at the end of each shift.
  • Make the Spa Manager aware of any instances of guest dissatisfaction.
  • Will perform other duties as required.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Required License: Current Missouri Cosmetology license

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Strong customer service skills are required previous experience working as a Cosmetologist is desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have basic computer skills.
  • The ability to work well with a team to prioritize a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly stands and does computer work.

Occasionally walks sits and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Additional Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this Job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
