Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs the physical infrastructure of a building or facility.
General Responsibilities:
- Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance construction and repair inspections and walkthroughs.
- Installs and maintains mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC safety and waste management systems.
- Assists with miscellaneous facility projects including but not limited to painting drywall carpentry installation of fixtures leak repair and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
- Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required.
- Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- Troubleshoots problems and follows all operating service quality and safety standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent related maintenance vocational training preferred.
- Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record (subject to Motor Vehicle Record Check).
- Knowledge of basic plumbing carpentry painting electrical or HVAC maintenance preferred.
- Ability to use standard power tools and office equipment including basic computer literacy.
- Effective reading written and verbal communication skills.
- Standard computer skills and the ability to learn specific software for inputting data and preparing reports.
- Mathematical skills sufficient to add subtract multiply and divide into all units of measure.
$18 $22 an hour
*Salary is negotiable depending on skillset certification and experience.
