The Facilities Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs the physical infrastructure of a building or facility.
General Responsibilities:
Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance construction and repair inspections and walkthroughs.
Installs and maintains mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC safety and waste management systems.
Assists with miscellaneous facility projects including but not limited to painting drywall carpentry installation of fixtures leak repair and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required.
Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
Troubleshoots problems and follows all operating service quality and safety standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent related maintenance vocational training preferred.
Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record (subject to Motor Vehicle Record Check).
Knowledge of basic plumbing carpentry painting electrical or HVAC maintenance preferred.
Ability to use standard power tools and office equipment including basic computer literacy.
Effective reading written and verbal communication skills.
Standard computer skills and the ability to learn specific software for inputting data and preparing reports.
Mathematical skills sufficient to add subtract multiply and divide into all units of measure.
$18 $22 an hour
*Salary is negotiable depending on skillset certification and experience.
