Unit Manager Surgical ICU (POS24218
Arcadia Pretoria
R 45000 per month
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead a quality and safe patient care experience that meets the set clinical standards through the optimal management of human and organisational resources within a structured unit.
REQUIREMENTS
- Essential Education: 3 or 4year Diploma or 4 yearDegree in Nursing; Nursing management qualification; Postgraduate qualification in the units specialist area
- Desired Education:Nursing education qualification
- Essential Minimum Experience:At least 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital; 23 years leadership experience in a hospital
- Desired Experience:Infection Prevention and Control; Clinical Facilitation
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Ensure safe patient care by meeting set clinical quality standards according to company policies and procedures
- Manage and mitigate clinical risks in the unit
- Lead and manage the staff in the unit
- Manage the units operational and capital expenses according to financial and budget guidelines and ensure optimal utilisation of resources
- Manage and actively contribute to a positive patient experience in the hospital
- Support the achievement of interdepartmental outcomes
- Manage key stakeholder relations
