A crucial leader role the Head of FCR Governance in our Group Financial Crime Risk Department and will make an impact by:
- providing leadership across the function in delivering leading financial crime governance services to the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group.
- delivering international and domestic best practice and standards in financial crime risk management policy risk assessment training change / communication and provision of clear insights and reporting to the Board and Executives of the Group regarding the performance of the financial crime framework.
- Contributing as a member of the Financial Crime Risk Leadership team
- Strengthening your core relationships with Financial Crime Risk colleagues first and second line risk teams product and customer facing teams business unit leaders vendors and suppliers of financial crime solutions
- Additionally working with peers in other financial institutions and the
- Managing the day to day relationship with the supervisory team of the AML/CTF regulator AUSTRAC

This is a 14 month secondment until 30 June 2026 . We offer flexible work options that put our people first and a hybrid model of a minimum of 40 of your week in the office increasing to 60 in July 2025. The role can be based out of Melbourne Adelaide Bendigo or Sydney corporate office.
What youll bring to the role
To succeed in this role wed love you to have:
- Expert knowledge and demonstrated skill in the process of building and operating financial crime risk frameworks including best practice innovative policy development regulatory change enterprise risk assessments customer/product/channel/jurisdiction risk assessments
- Demonstrated skill at communicating and influencing senior stakeholders and delivering change to teams and business processes
- Experience in presenting to Boards and Senior Management
- Demonstrated ability to take a proactive approach prioritise and effectively work at pace
While not essential it would be great if you had:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Financial Crime Industry Qualification preferred such as ACAMS AFCS
