Job Description
Elmwood Park IL
LPNs needed for inhome nursing with female child/young adult who is medicallyfragile and technologically dependent. Care includes gtube feeding and mgt seizure mgt andtrach care. You will be joining a diverse team of nurses who have shared the joy of caring for this special girl for many years. Training is available to experienced or new nurses with the aptitude and passion for pediatric work. Fulltime parttime or PRN assignments are available in 8 10 and 12hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Implement care and treatment using sound judgment and critical thinking
- Provide accurate detailed and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing process
- Prepare administer and appropriately document actions taken specific to the commonly prescribed oral topical subcutaneous and intramuscular medications.
- Observe reports and record adverse reactions to medications and/or treatment to the school nurse
- Perform all skill treatments and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adheres to the policies procedures and protocols of the agency
- Gtube seizure management diabetes education a plus.
Qualifications
- Graduated from National League of Nursing accredited practical or vocational school of nursing
- Unencumbered license as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in Illinois
- Proof of recent Physical clearance and Negative TB test or chest xray(within one year)
- Current CPR (inperson training only)
