Job Description
You will:
- Create detailed technical measurement specifications and grade matrices for various mens apparel categories including wovens knits and outerwear
- Measure samples and garments to ensure adherence to design specifications and size standards
- Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into technically feasible garments
- Identify and resolve potential fit and production issues
- Participate in fit sessions on live models providing clear and concise feedback to factories
- Maintain accurate records of all technical specifications and revisions
- Communicate effectively with overseas factories and vendors
- Stay current on industry trends fabrications and garment construction techniques
- Assist with other technical design tasks as needed
The ideal candidate:
- Has a Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Technical Design or a related field
- Has at least 35 years of experience in mens technical design preferably with a focus on mens casual sportswear
- Has strong knowledge of garment construction patternmaking and grading.
- Is proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel
- Has excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
- Has a passion for menswear and a keen eye for detail.
