Job Description
Job Title:
FT Day Shift Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist
Job Summary:
In this dynamic role youll be responsible for performing waived moderate and high complexity testing in our CAP accredited laboratory.Please note that this shift will require an employee to rotate toeveningshifts as needed to cover call outs or absences.
- Shift: Day 7AM 3PM)EveningCoverage as Needed 3PM 11PM)
- Complexity Testing: Waived Moderate and High Complexity
- Certifications: ASCP MLS (MT) or MLT Preferred New Grads Welcome
- Experience: Preferred in All Lab Sections
- Schedule: Alternating Weekends and Rotating Holidays
- Physical Requirements: Ability to Lift Up to 50 lbs Extended Standing and Walking
- Exposure: Potential exposure to toxins waste material odors or fumes
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform waived moderate and high complexity testing with precision.
- Maintain a high degree of attention to detail reference ranges and clinical relevancy.
- Ensure accurate and timely testing adhering to QC and QA methodologies.
- Assist in specimen receiving pneumatic tube responses and phone inquiries.
- Display a professional attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in all sections of the lab as needed. Microbiology experience preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
- MLS (MT) or MLT certification through ASCP or eligibility.
- LIS (Laboratory Information System) experience is required.
- Phlebotomy skills are required or will be trained.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent organization communication and interpersonal skills.
