Estimating Intern Shaw Sports Turf Job Description:
Shaw Sports Turf is seeking a detailoriented and motivated Estimating Intern to assist our estimating team in preparing bids and cost estimates. This hourly position is ideal for students or individuals looking to gain handson experience in construction estimating and project planning.
Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering and organizing project data including material quantities and pricing.
Support the estimating team by reviewing project documents and inputting information into spreadsheets.
Help prepare and update cost estimates under supervision.
Communicate with suppliers to collect basic pricing information.
Assist in preparing and maintaining project records and documentation.
Learn to interpret construction drawings and specifications with guidance.
Perform administrative tasks to support the estimating team.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in construction management engineering business or a related field (preferred but not required).
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
