Student Assistant Clerical & Admin
GatorWell Health Promotion Services is seeking a graphic design student assistant who is visually minded a storyteller at heart and energized by creatively promoting health and wellbeing on campus. This position will work alongside fulltime Marketing Staff and various stakeholders within GatorWell Health Promotion Services to create captivating designs that support social marketing and health communication initiatives across various platforms. Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Ideate pitch and create unique professional and innovative designs to be utilized on print publications tshirts web graphics promotional materials building signage and more
Assist in and provide an educated voice in the planning development and of marketing plans that meet the university and division brand standards
Visually support social marketing and health communication initiatives and campaigns aimed at helping students build sustainable skills to improve their overall lifelong wellbeing
Provide keen proofing skills for spelling grammar and design consistency
Ability to prepare artwork files for professional printing
Maintain the organization of GatorWells design database
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients coworkers and vendors in an agency style work environment with both student and professional staff
Other duties as assigned
Salary is $13.00/hour.This is an hourly OPS position and does not include a tuition/fee waiver or benefits.
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS). Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average and be enrolled for at least six credit hours a semester. Registered students are employed on a parttime basis up to 20 hours per week.
Current UF student (undergraduate or graduate)
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START SUMMER OR FALL 2025
Must be able to commit to at least Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
Must be able to work in the GatorWell office space within the Reitz Union
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Outlook Excel Teams PowerPoint)
Demonstration of knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign etc)
Must be able to attend student marketing team meetings as scheduled (TBD)
Must be able to attend the GatorWell New Student Staff Training and onboarding upon employment
Knowledge of Canva
Possess solid photography and editing skills as well as the ability to craft and maintain a consistent voice and tone with imagery
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and an eye for detail and accuracy
An interest in thinking creatively strategically and collaboratively to aid in educating our community on the experiences and offerings available to enhance the UF experience
Strong interest in health and wellbeing
