Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading the San Diego CA PCB design Engineering team while being a working manager. You will have direct influence on program designs and proposal efforts staffing and overall performance of the PCB design team. You will be responsible for leading a team of currently 6 designers and developing collaborative relationships with Engineering Managers Program Leadership and group leaders to support needs of the business. Your role will result in better coordination and support across key stakeholder groups. This is an onsite based position.

Essential Functions:
- Possess expert level experience with the Siemens Xpedition CAD tool suite and be able to mentor supervise and provide guidance for lower level tool users
- Partner with program teams to ensure programs are correctly staffedPCB design processes are being followed and proposal efforts are supported
- Responsible for performance of the Ft. Wayne IN PCB design group within the Digital CCA department including staffing training onboarding employee development engagement and proactive retention
- Establish metrics to drive yearoveryear performance improvement
- Collaborate with site leadership to drive and assist understanding of new L3Harris tools and processes and flow down Division information to the site PCB team
- Serve as PCB functional representative for site specific design reviews and review/approval of proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) as needed
- Provide technical evaluation and oversight of program and lead/participate in technical issue resolution teams when required
- Ensure knowledge transfer and pairing of less experienced engineers with more experienced PCB design engineers is established
- While this position is primarily local to the Ft. Wayne site travel may be required to support various program
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Three 3 or more years Functional Management Experience leading small engineering teams
- Three 3 or more years experience designing PCBs to IPC Class three 3 requirements
- Professional experience working with Xpedition tool
Preferred Additional Skills:
- IPC certification CID or CID
- Experience using Xpedition 2.14
- Experience using Agile PLM or Teamcenter PLM
- Siemens EDA Valor expertise
- Siemens EDA EDM expertise
- Knowledge of how to create stack ups
- Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience using Cadence Allegro or other relative CAD tools is not required but a positive.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role is $108000.00 $201000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
