Depot Maintenance Engineer

Permanent Full Time

Based in Avonmouth

37490 inc Standby Fee Plus Excellent Package

We are working with a growing and highly reputable facilities management contractor who are a genuinely fantastic company to work for look after their staff well and have established and stable contracts nationwide. This role will be working on a static site in Avonmouth.

The Role:

  • Assist the Depot Maintenance Technician with any major or minor maintenance work.
  • Complete the PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laiddown procedures.
  • Responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary.
  • Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
  • Although aligned to one site for the purpose of PPM completion there may be times that the Depot Maintenance Technician will be required to attend other depots to carry out work.
  • Attend training courses as and when necessary by the company.
  • Complying with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Work with company and client colleagues to ensure laiddown standards of quality are maintained at all times.
  • Assisting teams when requested.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with the business and client colleagues.
  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPIs.
  • Ensure that all costs are approved following the correct process.
  • Maintain accurate Time Sheets as required

The Person:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) or plumbing/mechanical or equivalent
  • City and Guilds 7671 17 th /18 th Edition
  • Previous experience in building maintenance
  • Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
  • Respond to service call requests within agreed timescales
  • Full Driving Licence and flexible to travel when required for on call purposes
  • You will ideally have been a static engineer with experience in electrical or mechanical building maintenance
  • Ideally worked on a depot/distribution site although not essential

Package:

  • Starting salary of 37490
  • Permanent full time 40 hours per week
  • 1 in 4 Call Out
