Basic Purpose of Position:Perform specialized or diversified procurement functions required supply material in accordance with Corporate Policies and Procedures; using the lowest reasonable price ensuring the maximum quality goods delivered ontime to support manufacturing. Primary or Major Responsibilities: - Analyze multiple requirements to satisfy the requirements of the requesting program or department and are in the best interest of the company.
- Place purchase orders as needed. Followup on purchase orders Supplier contracts and material status as required.
- May assist other individuals in expediting delinquent shipments and resolving other associated problems. May provide work direction to other employees in the department.
- Resolve Supplier quality issues purchase order accounting issues and problem receipts.
- Travel as required to meet with Suppliers and other appropriate representatives to discuss and satisfy matters that cannot be taken care of in the plant.
- May be responsible for determining material requirements from engineering and production schedules and maintaining inventory at appropriate level.
- Generally will exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions in line with company policies of good ethical purchasing practices.
- Prepare management and analysis reports on a weekly monthly and quarterly basis. Perform other related duties as necessary to support procurement department.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen
- BA/BS in related field.
- 12 years of experience in related discipline.
- DFAR regulated purchasing experience regulatory compliance.
- Competency working with MS Excel.
- Experience buying metals and/or machined parts highly preferred.
- CPIM or CPM preferred within two years of position assignment.
- Thorough understanding of operations principles (JIT MRP TQC and CRP) required.
- Demonstrated experience and successful results in negotiation skills and strategies.
