Job Description

Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Lichfield Staffordshire
Salary: Starting at 33000 per annum (increases based on experience)
Working Hours: 24.5hour shifts 1 on 2 off pattern)
Hourly Rate: 50 flat rate for sleepin hourly rate applicable after 1 hours awake
Number of Sleeps Required: 23 per week as part of the shift pattern
Pay Per Sleep: 50 flat rate

Service: Therapeutic Childrens Home
Qualifications Required: Ideally NVQ in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years experience in an Ofstedregistered childrens home
Employment Type: Permanent

The Home:

  • Number of Beds: 3
  • Location: Lichfield Staffordshire
  • Ofsted Rating: Requires Improvement (RI) Significant improvements made since the initial inspection
  • Ratio of Staff to Children: 3 YPs to 2 rotated staff members management present Monday Friday with outofhours support

We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker passionate about positively impacting the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar setting and possess strong knowledge of safeguarding traumainformed care and therapeutic approaches. The successful candidate will adapt to new management styles and commit to continuous improvement.

Induction Process:

  • Firstday induction
  • Minimum of 2 shadow shifts and PI training before starting full duties
  • Core training to be completed within the first month
  • Additional training to be completed within 6 months
  • Ongoing supervision and career development

Reporting To: Deputy/Registered Manager

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Childrens Home will not be considered.
