Job Title: Student Worker SOE Communications Intern

Job Classification: Marketing and Communications Student

Department: School of Education

Work Schedule: MTWTF 8am5pm after hours possible

Desired Length of Employment: Ongoing

Pay Rate: 10

Job Description:

SOE Communications Intern provides content for School of Education communication venues including website social media display print news blog etc.; management of special projects including ongoing social media features; and coordination with various faculty and staff members.
SPECIAL SKILLS ARE REQUIRED with a focus on videography and video editing (Premiere Pro) photography and photo editing (Photoshop and/or Lightroom) and graphic design (Canva and inDesign) and social media. Internship may also
Include writing and editing. Other duties may include clerical work research and social media statistical upkeep. Organizational skills are needed.
REQUIRED: Please send resume plus samples of work (videography photography writing published articles graphic design social media posts). Send to Attachments or links to online portfolio or other online work is acceptable. Attachments should not exceed 10 MB. (Send separate emails if necessary. Most successful candidates are studying journalism public relations professional writing marketing or FDM (film and digital media).

  • Provide marketing and communications support to assigned area of responsibility
  • Assist with various projects activities or tasks related to marketing and communications
  • Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly
  • Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
