AU Content Creators (Grades 48
In todays digital age everyones a storyteller. Thiscourseis designed to equip young creators with the skills to capture and share their unique perspectives. Campers will dive into the world of content creation learning how to use advanced mobile technology to produce engaging videos and photos.
Key Highlights:
- Mastering the Craft: Explore the art of storytelling through video and photography.
- Behind the Scenes: Learn the basics of storyboarding scriptwriting and editing.
- Social Media Savvy: Discover the power of social media and how to use it responsibly.
- Digital Safety First: Understand the importance of online safety and digital citizenship.
- Creative Collaboration: Work with peers to create dynamic and innovative content.
- Take the Reins: Get a chance to take over Chadwicks social media channel and share your camp experience with the world!
The instructor for this course will follow the above description.
The class meets for Period 5. There will be a class limit of 12 students.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing high quality teaching and instruction to participating students in the Chadwick Summer Program.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work Saturday June 21 2025 through Friday July 25 2025 Program not in session on the following holiday July 4 2025.
- Attend a staff onboarding session the week beginning Monday June 16th (onboarding sessions are 2 hours in length)
- Complete in person CPR training the week of June 16 2025
- Attend a mandatory staff training day on Saturday June 21 2025 from 9:00am 3:00pm
- Plan interesting and exciting activities that are sequential and have set outcomes that are achievable for all students during the length of the Summer Program.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Summer Program including Counselors.
- Must maintain safe work practices and follow all safety and security procedures.
- Must enjoy working with children aged 4 14.
- Attend afterhours events shows and performances as required and determined by the class taught.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education experience and skill requirements
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Ability to work early in the morning or late afternoon a plus.
- Individuals with previous applicable experience are preferred.
- Computer proficiency required.
- The ability to work with children is essential.
- The ability to legally work in US is required.
Compensation based on experience and highest degree earned. College degree starts at $35.50
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Walking and being outdoors for somewhat extended periods of time on a regular basis is part of the job as the school sits on 45 acres of land
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
- Will use telephone computer copier and other office equipment in the course of a day.
