Are you an analytical powerhouse with a passion for datadriven decisionmaking Join our Health Intelligence and Analytics team and play a key role in advancing health strategy through innovative data solutions. As a Specialist Health Analytics you will lead complex analytics projects that drive policy development operational planning and health system performance measurement. Your work will directly impact how health services are delivered and optimized for Peel Region residents.

Your Impact

  • Lead Complex Data Analysis Conduct advanced statistical analysis and data mining to uncover trends validate assumptions and optimize health system linkages.
  • Innovate Data Visualization Design and develop sophisticated dashboards interactive tools and visual analytics to translate data into actionable insights for decisionmakers.
  • Drive Data Governance Establish protocols for health data sharing integration and compliance with PHIPA regulations.
  • Enhance DecisionMaking Provide expert guidance on data access security predictive modeling performance measurement and datadriven policy development.
  • Optimize Analytics Tools Manage data tools subscriptions and platforms to maximize return on investment for health analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate Across Sectors Build strong relationships with internal teams senior management IT specialists and external health partners to support strategic health initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Education & Experience: Masters degree in Health Informatics Biostatistics Data Science or a related field with 5 years of direct experience (including internships and coops).
  • Technical Expertise: Handson experience with SAS SPSS STATA R ArcGIS and advanced data visualization tools (e.g. D3 Processing ggplot.
  • Advanced Analytics Skills: Proven ability in predictive modeling machine learning statistical analysis and pattern recognition to extract valuable insights.
  • Programming & Database Management: Proficiency in SQL NoSQL Python and data management techniques.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate data insights into policy recommendations that drive realworld impact.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to present complex data in a clear actionable manner to leadership teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Certifications (Preferred): SAS Certifications Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).

Work Mode:

In this role youll benefit from a hybrid work arrangement that fosters meaningful inperson connections. A minimum of two days per week onsite is expected with additional inperson presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of inperson and remote work to balance organizational priorities and employee flexibility.

Note: Your offsite work location must be within the province of Ontario to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
