As a Christian organisation were on a mission to turn the whole camping scene into something super special for our guests. Were not just about the regular business of running a camp; we strive to create opportunities for moments that change lives!
CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort is an expansive facility situated on 80 acres of landscaped grounds in the heart of Cowes. It offers accommodation for over 600 guests featuring airconditioned guest rooms with ensuites and a variety of onsite activities including giant swings swimming pools high and low ropes courses canoeing raft making sand volleyball indoor rock climbing archery and both single and quad flying foxes!!
The resort is a purposebuilt complex catering to large bookings and is a popular destination for educational groups community and church groups school camps corporate retreats and holiday camps.
Our Food and Hospitality department is supported by two fully equipped commercial kitchens a campground kitchen and three allweather barbecue areas. Guests are hosted across four main dining rooms and are offered a comprehensive range of dining options to meet the diverse needs of our varied customer base.
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly organised and customer service orientated person to join our hosting team whose job it is to help ensure our guests have a pleasant dining experience whilst on camp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing for guest meal times (breakfast lunch afternoon tea dinner & supper)
- Warmly greeting guests as they enter the dining room
- Cleaning of dining room & bathroom facilities
- Liaising with group leaders to accommodate special requests or needs
- Addressing and resolving any guests concerns or complaints promptly
- Working closely with other members of the Food & Hospitality team to ensure a cohesive and efficient service
About You
Personal attributes:
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- You have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- You love serving people and working with a team
- You have good organisation and multitasking abilities
Essential requirements:
- A Victorian employee Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid rights to work in Australia
