The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting transactional fraud mitigation services by leveraging data to uncover insights and develop solutions that enhance decisionmaking. This role focuses on optimizing fraud detection models to minimize fraud losses while maintaining minimal disruption to legitimate transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize fraud detection models for payment streams.
Analyze client risk profiles and adjust detection models and thresholds accordingly.
Investigate system anomalies and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Monitor system performance using industrystandard metrics and clientspecific data.
Manage data issues and incorporate new fraud data feeds as required.
Provide technical communication and data wrangling insights for business teams.
Support adhoc investigations and contribute to fraud/analytics projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
MSc or BSc in Applied Mathematics Statistics Actuarial Science or a related field.
At least 5 years experience in fraud detection data analytics or statistical modeling.
Proficiency in MS Office SQL and data wrangling techniques.
Experience with big data analytics scripting and programming.
