Role Overview The Head of Finance Operations & Controllership will be responsible for financial reporting governance and compliance across multiple regions including Africa Australia and LATAM. The role requires a strategic leader who can drive financial process improvements enhance reporting accuracy and ensure strong internal controls. This individual will work closely with finance business partners and senior leadership to align financial operations with business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a globally dispersed team of accounting professionals ensuring talent development and high performance.
Oversee financial reporting and analysis in accordance with IFRS US GAAP and internal policies.
Ensure compliance with internal controls SOX requirements and corporate governance standards.
Drive standardization automation and efficiency improvements in financial processes.
Act as a key liaison between regional finance teams and corporate finance leadership.
Support external audit processes and manage relationships with auditors.
Solve complex accounting challenges and provide strategic financial guidance.
Partner with business units to enhance financial decisionmaking and reporting accuracy.
Lead change management initiatives related to finance transformation.
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA(SA) or equivalent qualification.
1015 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting with at least 10 years in a multinational organization leading global teams.
Expertise in IFRS US GAAP and SOX compliance.
Strong background in finance process improvements and business transformation.
Experience in the mining sector is highly preferred.
