Job Description

Title: Mechanical Owner Eng HVAC

Duration: 12 months
Location: Bruce Power
Onsite 5 days a week
Rate: $60$80/hr INC (negotiable)

Per Diem: $90/day

General Accountabilities

  • Reporting to the accountable Design Engineering Section Manager to provide Owner Engineer support
  • Manage and coordinate technical support of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ensure work is completed to required technical standards
  • Coordinate with Work Management Supply Chain Trades FLMs Engineering Operations Safety Waste Management Environment and other stakeholders to assist implementation of projects from concept through commissioning and return to service
  • Manage assigned project deliverables on schedule and budget
  • Other duties as assigned

General Selection Criteria

  • Bachelors degree in engineering
  • A Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO) or eligible for PEO status with a passion for engineering
  • Bruce Power and/or OPG Security Clearance is an asset
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards is desired along with a strong understanding of and commitment to meeting superior quality assurance requirements
  • Mechanical OE with HVAC experience: Working knowledge of CSA B52 and ASHRAE standards heat load calculations ACU sizing ACU component specifications. Experience/awareness of interfacing systems such as cooling water systems electrical supply including cabling and MCCs ACU controllers and HMIs interface with civil structures.
