Salary: $ 15 per hour/maximum: 20hour week.
Position Summary:The Religious Life Intern (Music & Worship) assists the Religious Life Department by functioning primarily as the designated keyboard musician for summer worship events as needed as well as working directly with the Music Director (Religious Life Music) under the supervision of the Director of Religious Life. This is a summer position beginning in late May and continuing through midAugust ideally through Labor Day. The Religious Life Intern (Music & Worship) is expected to be available to work days evenings weekends and all summer holidays. Some free time will be scheduled in for each day and one or two days off each week will be built into the schedule as well.
Qualifications Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This is an auditioned position. The ideal candidate should be an excellent keyboardist/pianist be able to sight read well common hymnody from Protestant hymnals and be able to play from Contemporary Christian Music charts. The successful intern applicant is ideally a music church music religion bible or related field bachelors or masters degree student. The best fit intern is a kind friendly person with a positive attitude a strong work ethic and should possess a basic knowledge of sound equipment setup and have a vocational interest in some type of Christian ministry.
